Building A Future Upon A History of Caring
Over a century ago, California Freemasons founded the Masonic Homes of California to provide relief to those members of our fraternal family in need. Today the residential and community-based programs offered by Masonic Homes provides care for hundreds of Master Masons, their wives, widows and children.
Two campuses – one in Union City and one in Covina – can provide independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care. The Traditions services unit located on the Union City campus offers care for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Masonic Outreach Services provides assistance to those who wish to remain in their own home on in another care facility.
The brethren who had the foresight a century ago to dream of a Masonic Home truly “built wiser than they knew.” With the perspective of 100 years of service behind us, it is clear that their vision and the charitable spirit embodied in Freemasonry have combined to build a lasting and inspiring model of care that all California Masons can be proud to call their own.
