Greetings Brethren from the West,
We have been quite busy at Anaheim Lodge 207 with degrees. Going into February, we are turning it down just a bit for this month. Stated meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 6th and we hope to see you there. For our brethren, we want to focus on Practice! Practice! Practice! Because like the old saying goes; Practice makes Perfect! I want to encourage our brethren, new and longtime members, to join us in our practice. However, it’s always recommended that our officers attend the practices. It’s always best to know the Due guard and Signs of all degrees for Master Masons or if you are a FC or an EA, its great way to know or learn how to properly give the Due Guard and sign of your respective degree. Practices are not only to make our ritual better, but it can also be used as a kind of Masonic Education. During practices, questions are always asked either about ritual or about the meaning of signs, emblems, etc. Mostly everything we do in the lodge room and everything you see in the lodge room has meaning, so attending our practices and our events are a great way to learn about them. Our practices are always going to be scheduled so visit our website, or check out the calendar in the Trestle Board every month to see when we have practice.
And as always, I want to encourage our Brethren to attend our events (such as the Sweetheart’s Dinner), stated dinners and degrees. Everyone is welcome to attend and remember, only Master Masons can attend all 3 degrees, Fellow Crafts can attend the first and second degrees and Entered Apprentices can attend only the first degree. All brethren, from the youngest Entered Apprentice to Master Masons are able to attend all stated meetings.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!
