From the East – September 2011

September is upon us and as we turn the corner into fall, we have some exciting things coming up in Anaheim. This month the Wardens and I will be attending the Grand Lodge Communications in San Francisco. This year’s trip will be particularly exciting as our very own Worshipful Ray Godeke will be installed as Grand Pursuivant for the ensuing Masonic year. Congratulations, Brother! I also look forward to seeing Worshipful Brother Norm Leeper as; he will again represent the Southern California Research Lodge, and always has outstanding suggestions for books and reading material that may be purchased to expand our knowledge on the Craft.

Brother Hugo Ramos will be leading the charge for Anaheim in October, as he kicks it off with our first Scholarship Program Breakfast Fundraiser. I am sure the food will be great and we are looking forward to another fine turnout. This will provide an opportunity to begin providing scholarship assistance to worthy students in the future. Later this month we will be honoring Brother Ramos as this year’s recipient of the Hiram Award for Anaheim 207.

November will bring us the opportunity to visit the Ronald Reagan Library and enjoy a wonderful day with all of your friends.

I hope that all these opportunities for a good time will inspire some of you that may not have been to Lodge in a while to come on down. Be sure to bring the ladies to our September Stated Meeting as well. Walt Disney Chapter Order of the DeMolay will be preparing and serving dinner, and afterward the ladies have a fun project to work on and keep themselves busy. The dinner cost will once again be $10 and the proceeds goes their chapter to fund the wonderful projects they have planned. I look forward to seeing you all at Lodge in September!

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Kevin Stibich
